UNIQUE FEATURES the most notable feature of naoto's is her x-shaped scar between her breasts, obtained from her 'parents' killer. most of the time she dresses modestly to keep it covered up due to a complex she developed over it, but over time, she has grown comfortable with wearing clothing that allows it to peek out.

Naoto initially appears to be cool-mannered, stoic with a self righteous streak ; which is only half true. She’s no nonsense. short, and straightforward to most people she comes across, but is remarkably kinder towards women and children, of whom she holds a protective streak towards. Naoto is a very skilled swordswoman, and is also quite agile. She is exceptionally skilled in combat, but because of her conscience and lack of killing intent, she is sometimes put at a disadvantage.

NAOTO FUYUMINE HAS NO RECOLLECTION OF HER PAST, though her subconscious spun an idea that she formerly had a pair of loving parents who raised her until they met a bloody fate by the hands of a rogue swordsman that cut them down, leaving her to bleed to death with an X-shaped wound on her chest. A swordsman named Murato Fuyumine saved her and took her in, training her in swordsmanship alongside a young man named Magato. Naoto blamed Murato for the death of her parents, and fueled by spite, chose to improve upon her knifework and swordsmanship to gain the skills to kill the latter, though her animosity softened with age.ONE DAY, SHE RETURNED HOME AND FOUND MAGATO STANDING OVER MURATO’S CORPSE, HIS SIGNATURE KATANA IN HAND. Blinded by rage, she attacked Magato. She prevailed in their fight and inherited Murato’s blade. As Magato left bleeding, he revealed to her that she was named after her parents’ killer who used the same blade as Murato. With said blade in hand and Murato’s coat on her shoulders, she began her search for the ‘original Naoto’.

Naoto encountered Heine and Badou in her search for her parents’ killer, and began a shaky alliance to reach the Underground.SHE EVENTUALLY LEARNED HER PARENTS’ KILLER’S IDENTITY: CAMPANELLA FRULING, though she also learned the truth of her own existence, having been manufactured in a lab by her ‘parents’, scientists enlisted under Angeliza Einsturzen to serve as a vessel for Angelika Einsturzen’s consciousness. The scientists betrayed Angelika, took Naoto, and ran, though were cut down by a jealous Campanella Fruhling.While the revelation shocked Naoto, she was able to recover thanks to the newfound companionship she found with Heine, Badou, Mihai, and Miss Liza’s group.AS OF THE CURRENT CANON POINT, she’s back in the upper lower level, licking her wounds, though she was one of the first to respond to Angelika’s next grand scale attack on the city.

She later enrolled in Shin’o Academy. When she graduated and got sorted into Division 13, she came home and found her adoptive brother, Magato, standing over Murato’s body. They engaged in a fight and Naoto rose victorious through it, having dealt him a deep wound; as he left, he hinted at the nature of Naoto’s parents’ death: a former Shinigami with her name had done it, not Murato. Alone in their once shared home, Naoto reconciled with Murato and returned to the Seireitei, determined to find this other Naoto and live up to the Fuyumine name.- Zanpakuto: Inugami (Dog Biter), a black bladed katana with a silver hilt.

- Shikai Abilities: In its Shikai form, Inugami’s blade remains unchanged - however, if it makes contact with a target’s spine, it effectively poisons them, slowing any regenerative or healing properties. Any cuts from it otherwise while the Shikai is released will not heal unless Naoto reverts it back to its idle form, or if Naoto is defeated/knocked out.
